Dear readers, listeners and fellow bloggers:

Good afternoon. To celebrate Columbus Day, a national holiday dear to all Italian Americans, we decided to prepare a very special dish loved by our family members.  We made a tomato sauce with plenty of veggies and grilled rounds of salsiccia, a pork and beef sausage, to accompany boiled durum spaghetti.  Here is  a picture of our latest rendition of it.

To make it scandalously delicious, we added a ball of burrata cheese in the middle, which we slowly cooked so it could bloom like a spring flower to release all its creamy interior.

We named our dish in honor of Tony Soprano, the main character of the great HBO series titled The Sopranos, who loved to gorge on all kinds of grilled meats and poultry.

Buon appetito!

Stay distant. Stay safe. Stay beautiful.

What do you think? Please tell us.

Don’t leave me alone.
