Dear readers and fellow bloggers:
Good morning and we wish you a quasi-happy Sunday. This moment of necessary and enforced social distancing for millions of us across the globe, represents a rather good opportunity to regroup as a family unit and share these difficult times close together.
Both our children love our homemade cooking and particularly enjoy our strong soups and stews prepared with many vegetables and a piece of meat, pork or poultry. As we watched a glimmer of boredom mixed with concern in our son Gian Luca’s eyes last night, we decided to recur to the millenary remedy of poor peasants’ families that we had inherited form our Basque and Italian ancestors: a strong, steaming chicken stew.
Right from the instant when he was sitting down at the table, his nostrils were taken over by the bewitching storm of the earthly ingredients that speak of family warmth. As he was eating it, his mood totally changed and he made a full recovery from “the blues.” Then we all watched the first episode of the “Casa de Papel” (Money Heist) in Netflix.
Why don’t you tinker a little bit with the pots and pans that stand lonely in your kitchen? The call of the More Natural for a healthy lifestyle might be a silver lining in this cloud.
Buon apetitto!
